Grupo Valentia, the asset owner, received the certification during an event held at the logistics facility.
Riba-roja (Valencia) – The logistics platform occupied by Sarosa Logística has been awarded the BREEAM “Very Good” certification, recognising the asset’s high environmental performance and sustainable design.
Key information about the certified logistics platform
Grupo Valentia, owner of the asset leased by Sarosa, has obtained the official BREEAM certification. The certification process was managed by ASPOR Engineering, which oversaw the design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with all environmental requirements.

The facility incorporates multiple sustainability measures. All lighting systems are based on LED technology, and the building is prepared for the implementation of an advanced energy management system to monitor and optimise energy consumption.
In addition, the platform includes a rooftop photovoltaic installation, enabling on-site renewable energy generation and reducing operational energy costs.
Water efficiency has also been prioritised through the use of low-consumption sanitary fixtures, the planting of native vegetation requiring no irrigation, and the installation of hydrocarbon separators to prevent water pollution.
During construction, materials with Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) were used, and approximately 93% of construction waste was recovered, significantly reducing environmental impact.
The project also incorporates measures to enhance biodiversity, including artificial nesting boxes, insect habitats and landscaped green areas integrated into the site.
The logistics facility comprises approximately 22,000 m² of built area, distributed across three warehouse units, office space, a security gatehouse and technical rooms. It is located on a plot of over 38,000 m² with three access points.
The platform includes 49 loading docks, six ground-level access doors and a perimeter circulation yard, ensuring efficient logistics operations.
With this new facility, Sarosa Logística has expanded its operational capacity, relocating to a larger and more efficient platform with excellent visibility and direct access to the A-3 and A-7 motorways, within one of Valencia’s prime logistics hubs.
